Upon graduation from Forest Park High School in Beaumont, Alan was drafted into the Army and served in the 8th Infantry Airborne Division.  He returned to Beaumont and completed his Bachelors of Science in Music Education at Lamar Unversity.  He accepted the Lord as his Savior in the early seventies at the age of 21.  Shortly after his salvation, he answered the call into the  ministry and began to serve in area church music ministry.  He worked in ministry in Arkansas as Minister of Music and Youth and was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 1983.  Alan returned to Texas and currently works as Band Director at Vincent Middle School in Beaumont.  He is married to Diane and has three daughters.
